Another way the Society raises funds for the Museum is the Gift Shop located within the Museum at its entrance.

Items for kids and adults, and priced very reasonably so everyone can walk out the door with a treat!

Also, a few local Plantation artists have their items for sale such as jewelry, art prints and pottery.

SCHOLARSHIP

We've heard it many times "The Museum is a hidden gem," but we don't want it to be hidden any longer!

The Society actively participates in many events in Plantation.

From the Independence Day  parade, Senior Expo and Halloween Safety fest to other organizations' events such as the Antique Show,  to wrapping books at Barnes & Noble, we want to spread the news about the Museum.

SCHOLARSHIP

The Betty Cobb Scholarship fund was created to honor one of the Society's beloved member, Betty Whatley Cobb who died in 2017.

A $1000  award is given to a graduating student who has volunteered for more than 40 hours at the Plantation Historical Museum.

The first scholarship was given in 2019.

A portion of the funds raised from the Broward County Plant Affair support the scholarship as does general donations from patrons and members.
